Monument to Jules Verne in the Lighthouse of La Mola

At the east end of the island we find one of the places that, as many visitors consider, more magic comes from the whole island. We’re talking about the Mola Lighthouse.

Next to the lighthouse is a monolith in honor of the writer Jules Verne for the mention he makes in his book “Héctor Servadac (travels and adventures through the solar world)”.

The most direct way to get to the lighthouse from Pilar de La Mola without stepping on the road is to do it via Green Route 29. In front of the lighthouse, we will walk just 50 meters to the left to find the monument where the plaques are in homage to Jules Verne.

Formentera Film Festival

Despite being a small island, Formentera is full of exciting cultural events. One of the highlights is the Formentera Film Festival, which takes place in Sant Francesc Xavier square.

Here, film lovers can enjoy a wide variety of documentaries, short films and art videos in a unique and vibrant atmosphere. It’s an experience that combines the magic of cinema with the natural beauty of the island, and you definitely don’t want to miss it!

S’Alga beach in Espalmador: Mediterranean paradise

One of the most popular places on the island is the Playa de S’alga, in the southern part of the west coast, which is the natural continuation of Ses Illetes.

White sand and turquoise sea, unspoiled and unpolluted nature, you have to visit it! There are several hiking trails throughout the island, so you can tour it far and wide. The landscapes are very charming and evocative, especially in the area of the lighthouse and the tower of Sa Guardiola.
